Specialty Gas Products Contribute to the Development of Society

Since we began research and development in 1959, we have developed and supplied various specialty gas products to meet the expectations of users. Standard gases that serve as a “measure of gas concentration” are characterized by the reliability and stability of their gas concentration, and are used in a wide range of fields as an “analysis criterion” not only for measuring air pollution and gas emissions from factories and automobiles but also in research, development and manufacturing.
Sumitomo Seika is an international MRA-compliant business operator accredited for concentration measurement (standard substance) by the Japan Calibration Service System (JCSS), a traceability system under Japan’s Measurement Act. We supply standard gases that are traceable in accordance with the national measurement standards required for certification, so-called JCSS standard gases. We also support the globalization of passenger cars and other vehicles by making them compliant with the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) and Worldwide Harmonized Heavy-Duty Certification (WHDC). Besides this, we supply general standard gases guaranteed by our traceability systems to meet wide-ranging customer requests.
