The Company will handle personal information as set forth below under the Sumitomo Seika Privacy Policy in compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act, other relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.

1.Purposes of using personal information

Unless notice is separately given to the person concerned, the Company will use personal information only within the limits necessary for the achievement of the following purposes of utilization. The Company will not use any personal information beyond the limits of the following purposes of utilization:

2.Third party provision of personal data

Without the consent of the person concerned, the Company will not provide any third party with personal data retained by the Company except as follows:

  2. The handling of personal data is outsourced; provided that in this case, the outsourcee will be required by a contract to ensure adequate safety management, and will be provided with necessary and adequate control and supervision.

When storing personal data in a foreign country, the Company implements safety control measures based on its understanding of the system for the protection of personal information in that country.

When so requested by the person concerned, the Company will, without delay, after verification of the person’s identity, make disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or discontinuance of use or take other steps for retained personal data under laws and regulations.
