Sumitomo Seika was founded as a fertilizer company in 1944, and shifted its core business to industrial chemical-product-related operations during a period of instability in the fertilizer industry.It has since continued to carry out research and development utilizing our technology base, and established its current core businesses while developing absorbent polymers, functional chemicals, gases, engineering, and fine chemicals. We aim at being a company that continues to contribute to society, as we have always done.
